Great place to stop for pastry coffee or anything really. Located opposite the river, you can sit back and watch the world go by. You also get some free nibbles…really tasty
Paying €82 for a room with no climate control and being told at the desk there isn't any fans for the room and to just open a window.
TV didn't work at all.
The "double" bed was two singles pushed together, which I am totally happy with, but this bed had a wooden rail along the middle where the two single bed bases met, causing a very uncomfortable situation if you want to be close to your significant other while sleeping.
Wouldn't complain if the room was €50.
Breakfast was good and the morning staff was friendly.
Top place! We have been there few times for lunch, dinner also at hotel. We were so satisfied that we decided to organize a wedding there… cannot express how grateful we are. Francesca and all the staff have done an incredible job, I cannot imagine this day to be better. Thank you again!
Terrible aperitivo experience. the inexperienced wait staff seemed to do the only thing they were capable of that is stalling and even hiding in the back. Hilarious. We ordered two spritz and we were made to pay straight away, don’t know why she made insincere enquiry if we wanted some nibbles to accompany the aperitivo , we gladly said yes but it was just empty words. of course we never got the snacks and there were not any waiters around even when went inside to look for them. we witness more than a few couples walk away and leave after non being served. what a shame location is lovely
Overpriced and unprofessional service. This historical place relies on its fame but it’s not up to standards, especially the cafe.
Always tough to rate hotels. This isn't a 5 Star Luxury Hotel. But it is a 3 Star Hotel, in my opinion, that has recently renovated and is very clean and a good value.
UPDATE: Not all the rooms were as well appointed as my first stay. But still overall a positive experience
Really enjoyed our meal here. Would recommend. We had the set menu. The portions were huge. Lovely food and atmosphere.
Slow service. Food ok, seems like everything is falling apart in San Pellegrino. We went to Akbar at 1.50 pm and they told us the kitchen was closed, the second place only had toasts, this place had some food, we ordered panini and it took them 20 minutes to make them. Not acceptable. The staff seems not motivated and sluggish. When the sandwiches arrived, we only got 2 of them, the 3rd arrived later and the 4th did not arrived as ingredients were missing! Patisserie just average quality.
